A Surprise in the Mail

It's happy time
around here again....
I received my package from a great friend in England. love that
Royal Mail sticker.

Inside was a lovely sheep picture,
I take lousy photos, but love all things sheepish...especially this,
how did she know.
There was also truly awesome overseas
Chocolate truffles yum.....
and best of all lots of lovely yarn.....................

all I can say is thank you, thank you, thank you...you sure made my day!!!

And of course the days are getting longer, and the nights are getting nippy,
so am now squeezing in an occasional fall project.

fall leaves with dried acorn, leaves are crocheted. see pattern at following site.

Crocheted apple magnet http://www.crochetmemories.com/archive/misc5.html
Both of these items
were gifts for a US friend.

Of course, I am still knitting as well so stay tuned for more hats...yes it has become
an obsession.............plus I just received the book...Itty-Bitty Hats.
there should be a lot more warm heads out there this winter.

By the way, the charity group I knit my hats for is:

The Knitting Connection http://www.theknittingconnection.org/

"No child should be without a hat, mittens, and a Christmas stocking..."Sue A. Manning 10-29-99
The Knitting Connection's mission is to support children and families with crafted items utilizing the artistic talents of volunteer knitters, crocheters, and quilters. We connect people from the community to support each other during their time of need. This link, from one end of the spectrum to the other, forms a bond of support, understanding, and love.

Just sharing, in case anyone else is interested. they will take not just knitting, but crochet and sewing too. check out their site.
Have a lovely week and enjoy the weather as the seasons are changing fast...............

So glad you like them!!! :) Hopefully I can find you a sheepy surprise or two at the shop launch tonight! ;)

Also, here there are millions of sheep and I obsessively photograph them and turn them into cards. :) It's dead easy...even not that great photos look good laminated and stuck on card. ;)

Oh, and also, I was really surprised to click on your blog on bloglines and see the parcel.

I thought, wow, that looks really familiar....and then, I stopped being stupid.

Can't wait to see your Snowflake yarn creations. :)
